Tent Talent
Soma Records
North American tour featuring:
Funk
D'Void
Scotland
Since 1988 Funk D'Void has played a key role in mapping
Glasgow's club scene alongside other crucial European cities. In the studio
his productions draw on influences from Trax to Transmat and jazz to funk.
As one of Soma's most popular artists, his blistering dj sets are in demand
around the world.
Slam
Scotland
The Slam duo has been responsible for some of techno's most electrifying
records and remixes, as well as hosting some of the UK's most celebrated
underground club nights. With friends they started the revolutionary Soma
Recordings in '91 which introduced to the world talents like Daft Punk
and the Soma crew you will experience at Furthur.
Percy
X
Scotland
Tony Scott (of Havana fame) is the highly talented dj and producer known
as Percy X. His productions are considered essential techno that's purpose-built
for the 4am dancefloor. The style is an eclectic fusion of soulful house,
hard funky techno, and downtempo dub.
Richard
Harvey live
aka User
London
Hawtin tested and approved (the User appears an unequaled six times! on
the DE909 mix cd)...and they say "what's good for the goose is good for
the gander". This mystery man had many people stumped, but there is no
questioning the power of his tracks on the tech house dancefloor. We finally
located him and he's coming over for his first US appearance!
Richard
Turner
Utility Plastics
London
The Utility Plastics label is popping up on top ten charts of techno jocks
around the world. Like User it's completely anonymous, applying the same
'shut up and dance' school of thought. The music is hard pounding percussion
with heavy kicks and plenty-o-funk. Richard Turner is the man behind it
all and as a dj he works a mixer like the best of 'em from Detroit.
Mark
EG
Blackout Audio, Bonzai, Cluster, M8/Wax
London
Well known throughout the world for his intense mind-blowing stage presence
that includes eating records, smashing decks, and starting record cases
on fire. He's also known for spinning full throttle knockout trance sets.
At Furthur expect...well, who knows what the hell to expect!
Scott
Hardkiss
Hardkiss Music, Sunburn
San Francisco
"Can you feel IT?" is a question that is rarely answered, but at Furthur
'96 IT was felt. If you were there then you know what we're talking about.
One man, one moment...Rocket Man. And now he's back to regenerate people
through the signature Hardkiss west coast progressive house and trance.
