Venue:
Located
in downtown Milwaukee. Selected because it's safe, secure,
permitted, and made to keep a crowd rockin' & partying
all night long. The venue might be familiar to some of you,
but the environment won't be. We never just do the same old
same old. Three of the rooms are new and haven't been used
in years. Over half of our total floor space is below ground
level - talk about underground! (he he)
Featuring
six complete rooms of music spread out over three levels.
Background sound systems in the hallways. Plenty of additional
space to get buck wild. Merchandise vending areas. Clean bathrooms
on every level. No "in and out" privileges will be allowed.
This
NYE celebration starts at 7:00 pm Dec. 31st and goes straight
through all night until 8:00 am Jan. 1st. Arrive as early
as possible to make sure you're inside for the big countdown
to the Millennium! Afterhours throughout the day and an additional
bonus Saturday night Jan. 1st event are planned. (Two
days long!) Keep your eyes on the lookout for flyers the week
before the New Years.
Full
Bars: What makes this event unique over any other is that
it is All Ages, but if you are 21+ with proper I.D. you
can get a wristband that allows you to consume alcohol anywhere
in the building. You can be 'part of the whole, rather
than part of the old'. Take advantage of multiple full service,
well stocked bars. No beverage carry-ins allowed. Water drinking
fountains will be available.
Y2K
worried?...Why worry, ok! This event will be independently
generated with it's own power to keep it going after midnight.
(Just in case!)
Technology:
Live audio and video netcast brought to the world by
nodeOne and TIS.M.Jones on soundsystem.net. Plus, a
text and video net konnection to the future (by one
hour) with the M_nus Epok event in Detroit via clonk.net.
Parking:
Plenty of on street parking is available, as well as off street
pay lots adjacent to the venue. Or park anywhere downtown
and ride the bus for free.
