announcement for whytooque Millennial Dawn (DBNYE-Milwaukee):
Originally
our plan for New Years Eve this year was to do a controllable
event that was limited in size. We never expected the momentum
that has resulted! In the days before the event and we basically
sold most of the 4000 tickets that were available. That's
just insane and we didn't expect this. It left us with three
options:
- hold
the course and hope no one beyond the 4000 would show
up (yeah right)
- turn
a lot of people away at the door on this very special
night (lame)
- party
like we have never partied before! (hmm?)
The
choice is simple, we had to make the event all it could
be for everyone who wanted to attend. After all, this is
supposed to be the biggest party night of our lives. To
do this we nearly doubled our usable floor space by using
parts of the building we we not intending on using. Now
have the rights to the whole building!
What
does this mean for you? It means this event WILL NOT
SELL OUT! Well, theoretically it could sell out, but it
would take a near miracle to reach that goal. Now we can
ALL party together in one place.
Since
we only promised 4000 tickets at $35 it probably wouldn't
be out of the question to raise the door price a bit for
all the tickets after that number to make up for the considerable
cost of making this event larger on such short notice. But
that's not our style...ALL TICKETS WILL BE $35. You
can do us a favor though and help spread the word that tickets
will be available at the door without any problems for Millennial
Dawn in Milwaukee. Most of the advance locations were out
of tickets by Thursday so some people are wrongly getting
the impression the event is sold out. That's not the case!
Please let people know this.
Tickets
are available at Revolutions records in downtown
Milwaukee from noon until 5:00 pm. Their address
is 524 North Water Street and the phone number is
414-347-1141. After that tickets will go on sale
at the door when the doors open at 7:00 pm. Arrive
as early as you possibly can. Whatever you do, try to come
before the 11pm - midnight rush! We want to make sure you're
in the building for our special Millennium countdown and
celebration.
