GUIDELINES

THANK YOU for attending this years techno campout - electric festival - family re*union.

Over the past seven years we've been calling these the GUIDELINES for the event, but by now this should all just be COMMON SENSE STUFF. For the most part, just act RESPONSIBLE and show RESPECT for the surroundings and each other. Even Furthur is what it is due in part to the chaos that results when our extended family gets together for a weekend of great times. We don't want to keep you down with a bunch rules....we do want to make the event fun and safe for everyone.

Wristbands: When you enter the main gate you will get wristband. Put it on immediately. You must wear your wristband the entire weekend. Lost wristband replacement is at full gate price...no exceptions, no excuses! Sneaking in is just plain bad. It's Furthur, you can pay for one event a year.

Camping: Check out the site map and decide where you want to go. You can camp by your car in any of the open areas. Camp as close to your neighbor as possible without invading each other's space. Make it easy on everyone and set up camp sites from the inside of an area to the outside. Do not block any of the access roads or the inner camping areas! Please don't camp in the reserved DIY or Theme Camp areas unless you are one of them.

Theme Camps: The area along the cornfields on the main tent side of the campgrounds is reserved just for you. Use whatever amount of space you need.

Parking: If you are not camping park near the front so you don't get blocked in. The parking areas are unattended so park responsibly and as close to the car next to you as possible. We have very limited parking only space. If you are parking along one of the roads do so completely off the road and on one side only. If you block any roadways you will be towed. All roads need to be kept clear and passable for safety.

Boundaries: Stay within the boundaries. Basically, the cornfields outline the camping area. Anyone caught outside of these areas will be trespassing.

Cornfields: Stay out of the corn! Any damage to these crops is damage to the future of Furthur. Operatives in cornouflage will be patrolling these areas. If you are stupid enough to go in the corn, then you're too stupid to be here and you will be thrown out of the event immediately. Period.

Respect: We have a nice spot again this year. Don't abuse it! More importantly, this is the (venue name edited out)...it would be in your best interested to not fuck shit up if you know what we mean. If you're here to abuse go home now, don't waste our time. That's not what this event is about.

Garbage: You received a garbage bag when you came in the gate...Please use it! There are plenty more where that one came from if you need more. Set your filled bags along the edge of the camping areas, garbage will be picked up daily by us. You can also put your garbage in the large dumpsters yourself. It is very important you help keep the site clean during the weekend and especially when you leave. We appreciate and count on your assistance.

In and Outs: To minimize traffic and other potential problems in the surrounding area there are absolutely NO in and out privileges. If you leave you will have to pay again to get back in. We apologize for this inconvenience. The flyer asked you to come prepared to camp and cope for your entire stay.

Behavior: Even Furthur takes place for 72 straight hours. Please use your head and know your limits when having a good time. If you notice someone who is pushing it too far or is out of control, be a brother or sister and help them out or please get help. Report any potential problems or bad behavior to security, the Support Squad, or the main gate personnel. We need to work together and police ourselves, the way it should be.

Valuables: Leave your valuable items in your car. A tent isn't the safest place for storage and some people are just bad (yes, even at Furthur).

Medics: First Aid / Medical tent with on site EMT is located next to the security bus headquarters. Contact any member of security or the Support Squad if you or someone you know needs medical assistance. Ambulances are only a phone call away in the event of an emergency...let's not need them though.

Support Squad: The men and women in the black Even Furthur shirts with the Support Squad logo are here to make the event run smoothly and more importantly to help you. The same goes for the security crew. Please listen to their instructions. If you need any assistance or have a question, just ask!

Alcohol: Alcohol is allowed on the festival grounds if you are of legal drinking age. You need to have a separate wristband that identifies you are 21 or older. Wristbands can be picked up at the bar, main gate, or from security by showing proper i.d. If you're under 21 don't even think about bringing alcohol in or consuming it. Underage drinking will not be tolerated and will be dealt with severely. No glass bottles allowed.

Alcohol Sales: Beer sales will be available on the grounds in the outside beer tent. Additionally, there is a bar on the property open throughout the weekend during legal bar time hours. The operators of the beer tent and bar are our hosts, please support their business.

Even Furthur is a DRUG FREE EVENT. We do our best to bring you a great time without drugs. It's all about the music! Those of you who don't understand this are killing this scene. Sales and/or use of controlled, uncontrolled, or out-of-control substances are illegal, unwise, and unwelcome.

Concessions: Basic hot and cold food and beverages will be available on site all weekend for reasonable prices in the vending area near the main gate.

Vending: If you are vending anything you need to register and purchase vending passes at the main gate. Display your pass when you are selling.

Ice: Ice is available once or twice daily for a fee from the main water vendor. Look for the posted times.

Bathrooms: There are a number of portable bathrooms available around the grounds. They will be serviced daily. Please help keep all bathrooms clean and damage free! We all have to use them. If any are out of toilet paper notify one of the Support Squad to restock.

Water: There are no showers available. There are two water hoses by the bar. You can use them for cleaning, etc.

Fires: Small personal fires are permitted only in fire pits or metal containment. There is no firewood available on the grounds. Since you can't go through the corn, you can't get to the woods. Do NOT cut down any trees or burn anything except the firewood you brought. If you didn't bring any firewood come enjoy the nightly bon fire by the main tent. Do not throw large objects on the bon fire (ie. remember last year!).

Promoters: This weekend is an excellent opportunity to let a large group of party people know about upcoming events. We respect your desire to promote, but you need to respect the space in return. Ideally we would like you to promote only to cars as they come in or leave the main gate. We'll even hand your flyers out for you if you take a few minutes and stuff them in our newspaper! It's acceptable to walk through the main camping area and hand flyers out hand to hand. It is NOT acceptable to stand in a busy walkway and force feed people as they go by. Those flyers will just end up on the ground. If you're caught doing this we'll either take your flyers or ask you to leave the event. Flyers are NOT allowed in the main tent, on tables where they can blow away, or on car windshields. We have to clean this place up and it's no easy task. Please pick up your flyers if you see them on the ground. In reality we shouldn't even have to say all this, but the past has demonstrated otherwise. Make a flyer mess a non issue!

Traffic: When you leave the festival you can expect strict traffic enforcement near the site. Be safe and smart...buckle up and obey all driving laws.

Liability: No liability is assumed by owners, partners, employees, entertainers, sponsors, or any person associated with this event. All persons attending Even Furthur do so at their own risk.

Even Furthur is a special event and an important moment in all of our lives. Even if you don't completely get it, we can assure you this is way more than just another event. It's one of those experiences we want you to look back on with a big ol' smile on your face. It's our weekend to show the world this is how we do it in the Midwest! We've achieved some beautiful moments in the past and we are looking forward to many more in the future. Open your mind and your heart. With your help together we will keep on taking this crazy thing we have going on to the next level.

we shall all be set free (94)...on the bus (95)...together we make beautiful music (96)...re*union (97)...together to gather (98)... i am he, as you are he, as you are me, and we are all together (99)...free for all (00)...what you represent to them is freedom (01)

.we'll see you on the other side.
